STEPS Mission Inc. (formerly known as STEPS Familia Mission), has been established in 2006 in Manila, Philippines, and has moved to Panlgao, Bohol, in 2011. Our Christian volunteers focus primarily on educating the poor, hence the name STEPS which stands for Specialized Training and Education for Philippine Students.
Besides providing educational opportunities to the poor and underprivileged, our team is striving to help improve the quality of life by means of livelihood training, spiritual value formation and teaching health awareness through organic gardening and seminars. We collaborate with The Bellevue Resort Bohol, who provides us with a mission center where we daily teach children from the poorer sectors of society in preschool programs. Additionally, we provide reading programs for elementary students from a nearby public school. In our farm we teach organic farming and animal husbandry. We also create beautiful handicrafts in our livelihood programs. Since COVID we got involved in helping fisher folk by providing them with work opportunities, and we bring weekly food donations to poor families all over Bohol. Our vision is to give people a chance to lead better lives through education and training. You can help make that dream a reality through financial contributions or to work as a volunteer. Organic Gardening

We use different types of gardening, such as Aquaponics, Hydroponics and the conventional method.

Livelihood: FisheryTo help some of the people that have lost their work here in Panglao due to COVID 19, we have started building boats, which gives work to boat builders and fishermen.
We use a Payao in our fishing, a Bamboo & palm leaf structure which helps the fishermen with the catching of fish. So far we have 3 boats for fishing, and we use one smaller one for attending to the Payao. Click here for more info |
Free Educational Videos
Since COVID and the lock down here in Philippines, we have been working on putting our educational readers, the Early Bird Readers, on video, and are making them available here on our YouTube Channel ! We pray that you can make use of the videos in your teaching of your little ones!
