ABOUT US
Our Story
Manny (Jo) and I (Eveline Joy) have spent more than half of our lives in mission work. We first met while serving as missionaries in Thailand and later continued our service in Romania.
In 2006, together with fellow missionaries from Romania, Hungary, and Spain, we came to Manila, Philippines, where the foundation of what would become STEPS Mission began through outreach among underprivileged children. Some years later, we felt led to continue this work in Panglao, Bohol, and in 2011 the mission here was formally established as STEPS Mission Inc. Today, the work is carried forward by Jo, myself, and a close-knit team from Mindanao in the southern Philippines, whom we consider family as we serve side by side in the different areas of our ministry. From this journey of service grew a clear vision for how we could continue to help people in practical and meaningful ways. Our VisionOur vision is to help less privileged individuals and families build better lives and look toward a future filled with greater opportunities. We seek to do this through education, values formation, and practical training that empowers people in their daily lives.
To live out this vision, we offer educational programs for children and adults, livelihood training, prison ministry, and health awareness through organic gardening and community seminars. Our Mission Family
Our work is made possible by a dedicated group of individuals from Mindanao in the southern Philippines, who serve alongside us with commitment, compassion, and a shared heart for the mission. We consider each other family as we work together in the different areas of STEPS.
Together, we serve with one heart and one purpose: to bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those around us. |
