For over a month we taught reading courses to 62 children from preschool up to 4th grade Elementary level. We divided the students into smaller groups where our teachers Ellen and Joyjoy taught phonics. As usual, we started off with a seminar to train and do workshops with the parents, since we expect them to participate in the teaching of their children. "School starts at home!" We ended the 5 weeks with a graduation where the children did some performances to show the skills they learned.
This summer we used our computer class room setup, where we usually teach phonics to students from the nearby Doljo Elementary school, to teach typing to 10 teenagers and young adults.
