On April 28-29 we held our "drive-through" STEPS recognition for the 96 students that have been taught in our modular reading course during the year 2020-2021!
It had been a difficult year with severe lock-downs and closure of schools, and yet, with lots of persistence from our teachers and parents, the children made great progress in reading!
Each child received a STEPS certificate that certifies their attendance of the STEPS Reading Course. We also gave each family a pack of 5 kg rice, and some families with smaller children were also given some children's clothes that we had received from a sponsor from abroad!
We want to thank the Bellevue Resort Bohol for continuing to sponsor our STEPS teaching program, in spite of the big drop in tourism and the accompanying difficulties in the hotel industry!
