After a few weeks of careful preparations, the day finally arrived for the STEPS preschoolers to celebrate their Christmas party. Bellevue management graciously agreed to let us use 2 Pavilion rooms for the event, which was a big blessing! The heat at the mission garden would have been too great for everybody to enjoy the party. Instead, we were able to celebrate the birth of Jesus in the cool of the Pavilion rooms.
The teachers had decorated the rooms beautifully, and the program was wonderfully planned out, with children's songs, dances and poems. Last, but not least, to the delight of the children, Santa came to personally give presents to each of the children. And, of course, you might have guessed it, a yummy Potluck Lunch was waiting for all the celebrants when the program was over! Again, thanks to Bellevue, who gave 2 big treys of tasty spaghetti.
