This year's Christmas Party was celebrated already on the 5th of December since some of the parents are leaving for their home provinces during the holidays. The 44 children greatly enjoyed the planned meaningful activities, dances, songs and games. But the culmination came with Santa coming to bring gifts for each child! We ended the party with a bountiful meal!
In our school activities we encourage the children to perform in front of others and overcome their shyness. Since most of them come from poor neighborhoods, they are taught early on that they are not worth much and they will never amount to anything, which we try to consciously counteract and change. God loves each of us and doesn't consider where we come from or who we are, and we try to help parents and children, with faith, to strive to live up to their God-given potential and calling.
During the party we started a competition to share our faith this Christmas season with as many we come across, and those that put most of their time and effort into it, will receive a shiner price. We consider it a privilege and joy to witness to people we meet about the love of Jesus, and we'd like everybody to "catch the fire"!
