Here's an insight into the development of STEPS Samar: Early this month, Ellen, our STEPS head teacher who has been with us since 2012, was in Samar to visit the existing STEPS programs in Catarman, Calbayog and Tagapul-an, and to help launch new STEPS programs. She was traveling daily from one place to another, seeing the need and where to give equipment, such as computers, monitors, printers, as well as tables, chairs and schooling materials. She was also showing new teachers the STEPS modus operandi and leading them in class!
Since the interest in our educational STEPS program is great, we are looking for sponsors to help cover the expenses for the initial set-up. We got bigger donations from some organizations and private sponsors, but more are needed. Our needs are: computers, monitors, printers, tables, chairs, white board and educational teaching materials.
