After typhoon Odette/Rai hit on Dec. 16-17 and destroyed many, many houses, farmland and people's lives in Bohol and other provinces of the Philippines, we thought of cancelling our planned Christmas events, such as puppet shows, gift giving, caroling etc. But when praying further about it, we felt led to do these activities anyways, since we are meant to bring God's light into all this darkness and destruction! We combined it with giving rice, canned goods, and warm meals in our neighborhood of Panglao, as well as the island of Panganan!
Here you see how thankful everybody was for the food, gifts, puppet shows and caroling! We are very thankful that we answered the call to keep spreading the good news, especially during this time of calamity!
