Fire at the Mission school

12/15/2021

Monday, May 24, 2021, between 11 and 11:30 AM, our Mission School completely burned down due to possible short circuit. With the fire, we lost all the school materials, PC's, flat screens, tables, chairs, school books, school records, educational toys etc. Thank God, our living section remains intact, but since the intense heat spread through the roof, the structure might be compromised, hence we cannot live there for now. When inspecting the scene, It's a complete miracle that the fire didn't spread through the whole house, only the school. There is only a thin cement board separating the residential side from the school. Amazing! God stopped the fire right there!
PLEA: We humbly request donations for the many training materials, including PCs, flat screens, blackboards, tables and chairs, and more! Please use our PAYPAL account info@familiamission.org! Thank you very much!
June 29: As of today, an insurance representative came and assessed the damage done by the fire. We are waiting for some contractors to come and make proposals to the insurance, which in turn will decide which contractor gets the contract.
This is how the school looks now after having cleared all the debris:
Aug 14: We are waiting for the contractors to present their proposals to the insurance, and for their decision. Only then can the rebuilding of the school begin!
Nov. 26: As of now, we are still waiting patiently for the decision of the insurance as to who and when the rebuilding of the school will start.
