Another Arm of Our Prison Ministry
While one part of our ministry focuses on Bible sharing, value formation, counseling, and birthday celebrations — another beautiful branch helps the inmates grow in a very practical way: through hands-on agricultural training. We bring organic heirloom seeds and seedlings, soil, and fertilizer, teaching them how to plant, nurture, and harvest. Not only does this improve their food supply, but it also sows hope, purpose, and new beginnings in their hearts.

LOOK: The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI)- Central Visayas, led by Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) Cooperator Engr. Emmanuel Gamonez, turned over 12 sacks of growing medium, fertilizers, 30 pots, and PATOK seedlings to support the vegetable gardening activities of the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) at the Bohol District Jail- Female Dormitory. After the turnover, PDL actively participated in planting various vegetables as part of ATI’s Heirloom Harvest Project at the BDJ-FD garden.
This initiative promotes sustainable agriculture, food security, and rehabilitation through hands-on learning and community collaboration, empowering PDLs to gain practical skills while nurturing productivity and hope behind bars.
